When does the Suffolk Festival officially begin?
Our Suffolk Festival began on the 1st of January 2024 and will finish summer 2029.
When is the main opening ceremony?
The main opening ceremony will take place on 22nd of March 2024 which will consist of a launch event, entertainment and a special presentation.
How does the Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF) benefit Suffolk Freemasons?
During the last Festival we – Suffolk Freemasons, kindly donated circa £1.6m which was excellent, however we revived over £2m back in grants, funding and support. Adding to this the Cornwallis Court renovations costing around £14m. So, Suffolk Freemasons and our families benefit hugely from what we do and we will continue to benefit.
What can my Lodge do to assist in raising funds?
Private Lodges are free to set up events to suit them and their members in a big to raise funds for the Suffolk Festival. These can be wide ranging but some examples which have worked well are:
How To Donate?
To make a donation is very easy you can use the QR Code. There are other ways as well: You can use your Lodge envelopes from within a lodge meeting, just making sure it’s marked as the Festival envelope. A one off Donation or regular direct debit on the MCF website. Legacy giving, taking part in a seven steps event or vial Lodge donations.

What are the festival honorifics?
Their are four levels of honorific and these and their respective donation levels to qualify for each:
- Steward £300 donation
- Vice Patron £600 donation
- Patron £900 donation
- Grand Patron £1200 donation

Please note these amounts are for the total festival fundraising, from an individual, during the 5 years our festival is running.
How to request Festival help?
In most cases it’s best to speak with your Lodge Charity Steward as they will be given the information before most or your Provincial Rep. If they cannot answer your question you can contact any member of the Provincial Festival Team via this websites contact page.
Can I split my jewel donation between more than one lodge?
Yes, just sign up to multiple DD’s on the regular giving page, you can amend the amount you donate to whatever you like (no minimum amount) make sure on each one you put your lodge number. This will ensure the amount is assigned to the lodge and to you personally. You can split it to as many lodges as you like.
How would it work if a new brother wants to join halfway through the festival and wants to spread jewel payments over five years?
That is not a problem as by using the regular donation link you can spread the payments after the five year festival period. The full pledged amount will be included in our Festival totals.
You can choose the monthly payment and the term when you sign up. So, someone could sign up in the last week of our festival, receive a jewel and still spread their donations over five years.
