Welcome to the Suffolk Festival 2029
Here you will find information about the festival itself, updates on what Suffolk Freemasons have done and also information about future events.
Our launch at St Edmundsbury Cathedral was truly a fantastic evening and now all the hard work begins and we encourage you all to visit the site often for updates.
You may be wondering what is a Festival all about?
Each Province is asked every 11 years to raise funds for the Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF). From January 2024 until 2029 it will be our turn. To find out more about the Festival.
A welcome from the Provincial Grand Master…
I have complete faith in the generosity, determination and work ethic of every Suffolk Mason. Coupled with the expertise and leadership demonstrated by our team. I’m excited for the future and for what we can all achieve.
Greetings from the Provincial Charity Steward…
It is an honour to serve as your Provincial Charity Steward and I strongly believe that Suffolk Freemasons and their families will truly benefit from what we are about to undertake and for that I thank you all for your support.
‘Give a little, Gain a lot’
The strapline for the Festival is ‘Give a little, Gain a lot’ this will enable us to lead with what a Festival is and why we give to a Festival along with what we get back from the MCF, linking the Almoners and Charity together. For example, at our last Festival in 2019, we raised circa 1.6 million, but we have received back over 2 million in grants, funding and support. Followed by 14 million being spent at Cornwallis Court.
To ensure it is an inclusive Festival across the entire Province with a fun element, to encourage the Festival to be a celebration of all the things we do so well in Suffolk.
To determine wherever possible that the members get value for money with a return for their efforts and it is hoped the closing event will be free for all Suffolk Masons and their families!
